We are your company’s unique answer to your digital presence on the internet…
We know how competitive the market is these days and how hard it is to make your business stand out. At the same time, we understand how incredibly noisy the internet is and how confusing internet marketing and other new advertising tecniques can seem. After all, it seems like everyday a new technique or tool comes out that is supposed to help your business bring in more leads and more money, how can you decide where to focus your efforts? How do you know you’re doing all that you can to help your business grow?
Custom Solutions for Unique Problems
Obviously every business and market is different and the same approach will not have the same effect for every one. That’s why we pride ourselves on listening and learning your company’s strengths and weaknesses and the opportunities and threats that exist in your marketplace. These observations combined with a comprehensive analysis of the company’s web presence gives us a solid understanding of your digital reality and a real vision in to what ways we can help.
For example, many businesses have a great looking website that is not performing. We know this because the website is doing very little other than acting as a digital sign post for web surfers to occasionally stumble upon and leave quickly. This reality is illustrated in the site analytics that show stagnant traffic, high bounce rates, and very small conversions.
Case Study 1 -No traffic, no conversions
Client’s Understanding
Bob is an attorney in Atlanta and has paid a web design company $1000 for a new site. They custom coded the site and built it from scratch. Now every time Bob want to use his site he has to call up the web design company and pay them $75 an hour for them to make changes and updates to the site. Bob has had the site for 2 months now and has no idea if he’s even getting any visitors. All he really knows, in fact, is that his information is on a website at the domain he bought and that when he tells people about it in person, they can go type in that domain and see his site. This was state of the art in 1998, but now all it really means for Bob’s business is that he’s out a couple thousand dollars and is tied to a web company for every move he wants to make.
Website Reality
The web design company built a site that is hard for the search engines to view and map. The site is not ranking well, because even if Google does happen to find it, they may only see a page or two. Without at least an XML sitemap, the site will stay that way for a long time. The client may even grow frustrated with the web design company about not seeing any return from his investment with them and they may advise that he try paid ads. this will cause him to bleed even more money in to this bad investment when he starts getting a little traffic, but high bounce rate (meaning people visit and immediately leave) because he’s really not even in control of his content.
What We’d Do
To begin with, we would either do a partial or full rebuild of the site. This is not that expensive or complicated because we build sites on a CMS (Content Management System) called Word Press. Word Press can be used to create almost any type of website or can be added to a subdirectory or subdomain for the site. For example www.atlantaattorney.com is the main site, blog.atlantaattorney.com would be the subdomain or www.atlantaattorney.com/blog would be the subdirectory where we would add Word Press. We would make sure that Bob understands how to update and has a general understanding of Word Press before we’d finish the work. We would also add small programs called plugins in to the Word Press site that help get his site indexed accurately and quickly. We would also show Bob how to use Google Analytics so he could understand how his site is doing, what pages people are going to, how much daily traffic he has, what the bounce rate is and many other factors.
Having a single, solitary website isn’t all you need these days, though, so next we would also set up a Facebook Fanpage with an optin for him to capture more leads and a Twitter account. Bob’s blog would be set to autopost to those two locations whenever he added a post.
Plus, we would start working on getting his site ranked better for the keywords that affect his business. This is done in a couple of different ways that you can learn more about in the SEO or Product Section of our site.
Case Study 2 -Good Traffic, low conversions
Client’s Understanding
Bob, the Attorney from Atlanta from our first case study starts to get sick of the amount of money that he’s spending with the web design company with very little ROI and asks them how he can get more traffic. They advise that he start using Google Adwords. Bob goes to work and spends a week learning how to use the system and doing the keyword research he needs to do to drive the right people to his site. Next, Bob tries it out for a week and sees from his Google Adwords account that he has gotten a lot of clicks. So many in fact that he owes them $500 for a week of ads!! Since he still doesn’t understand site analytics, he doesn’t realize that he was really getting traffic, but wasn’t getting the people to take the action he wanted. Bob gives up on Adwords and starts telling everybody the entire internet is a giant scam. He’s now wasted thousands and thousands on a marketing technique everybody said he needed, but has given him very little return.
Website Reality
The site is getting over 50 new visitors a day, but has a 85% bounce rate and an average time on the site of less than a minute. This means that the people are finding his site because of the way Google has been serving up his ads, but no one is taking action because either his content doesn’t relate to the keywords they searched for or it’s just bad content with little value what so ever.
What We’d Do
Because we built a blog portion and told Bob to focus his updates on the keywords we found for him, and then made sure the pages were being indexed, Bob is starting to see a little traffic. After he wrote the articles, we then took them and spun them so that we could publish unique versions all over the internet. This isn’t necessary, but will help Bob rank well potentially multiple times for the same keyword and because of the links that are left in the article pointing back at his site, Google and other search engines count it as a “backlink” and his main site’s rank improves. After the articles were indexed orginally on Bob’s blog we would then either syndicate (send out the same version) or publish the spun versions to hundreds of article directories and social networks across the web with something similar to our Master Blaster Publishing Service. Once the submissions have completed, we would then create RSS feeds for the ones that are still around the internet and start posting are big list of links around on the social bookmarking sites. After doing this for about 6 months, Bob’s ranking and traffic should be very good and I’ll have the traffic he’ll need. In the meantime, Bob has had plenty of time to focus on improving his sites content, based on our suggestions and his conversions are now improving.
